How local progress works
The stats page reads the progress saved in your browser and turns it into a simple personal leaderboard. It tracks solved puzzles, points, streaks, recent solves and badges on the device you are using.
This approach keeps the site lightweight and private. A future account system could add cross-device sync and public leaderboards, but the current version does not require registration.
Scoring guide
- Completing harder puzzles earns more points.
- Daily play builds streaks and encourages return visits.
- Badges reward activity across several puzzle types.
- Resetting local progress clears the stored record on this browser only.
Stats FAQ
Is this a public leaderboard?
No. It is a private local progress page for the browser you are using. A public leaderboard would require accounts and server-side validation.
Can progress disappear?
Yes. Clearing browser storage, changing devices or using private browsing can reset local progress.
Why track points?
Points give a simple way to reward harder puzzles and encourage players to try more than one section.
Can this become account-based later?
Yes. The current design can be expanded later with secure accounts, cloud saves and verified leaderboard records.
